DOG STORY!
My new family brought me home
cradled in their arms,
They cuddled me and smiled at me
and praised me for my charms.
They played with me and laughed with me
and showered me with toys,
I loved them so, especially,
the little girls and boys.
The Children used to feed me,
they gave me special treats.
They even let me sleep with them
all snuggled in the sheets.
I used to go for lots of walks
many times a day,
They even fought to hold my leash
I'm very proud to say.
These are things I won't forget
a cherished memory,
Now I'm in this dog pound
without my family.
I used to get their laughs and praise
when playing with that shoe.
i did't know the difference
between the old and new
They said I was out of control
and had to live outside,
This I did't understand
although i tried and tried.
The walks diminished one by or
they said they had't time
I wish i could of changed thing
but I didn't know my crime.
My life became so lonely
in the backyard on chain
I kept on barking all day long
to keep from going insane.
If only I had classes as a little pup
I would't have been so hard to handle
when i was grow up.
Instead they brought me to the dog
Too embarrassed to say why,
They said i caused an allergy
and then kissed me goodbye.
You only have but one day left I
heard the worker say
Does that mean I have a second chance?
Do I go Home Today?
